Summer Homework

This is a picture of a webpage comparing Ubuntu to Vista.
Vista is obviously the latest available release of Windows, and Ubuntu is a Linux, open sourced operating system, based on Debian linux and using Debian or .deb applications, compared to .exe for windows.

www.ubuntu.com (the can send u a CD 4 free)

The article has a fair comparison of Ubuntu and Vista and the end result is Ubuntu, so i like it.

The url is http://www.itcomparison.com/OS/vistavsubuntu/vistavsubuntu.htm

Some advantages of Ubuntu are listed below:
1. Easy to install, and just runs.
2. Comes with an office suit, e-mail, web, bit-torrent and many other programs ready to run when ubuntu is installed.
3. It is completely free and open sourced
4. It has 3 recorded viruses, and the no longer work, so you need no security software.
5. Over 16,000 free open sourced programs to download without even opening a browser.
6. Vista was meant to have good Graphical effects... But Ubuntu with Compiz (pre-installed) absolutely owns vistas effects.
7. Will run alot faster than windows on any computer, and uses alot less resources than Vista. And all the effects can be run on a nVidia 6300GT, which is hopeless on Vista.

Google "Ubuntu vs Vista" and look at the first result, which is a YouTube Video.
